The Janice Bailey Survivors Fund was created to honor the memory of Board Member, Janice Marie Bailey. Janice was a wife,
mother, daughter, sister and friend. She and her husband Frederick, were the parents of 5 beautiful children.
Janice was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2010. For seven years, she fought a courageous fight that
ended on February 12, 2017. Janice was a woman of faith and her life was a testimony to her faith. She never complained. She
never lost her kind spirit. She never lost her beautiful smile. She stayed true to herself until God called her home.
As a Board Member, Janice served as Secretary. That was her official role. But the main hat
she wore was that of cooking and baking. She prepared most of the delicious foods for all of our events. She was a baker
and a caterer. She loved the kitchen. She loved to cook and if you've attended any of our events, I'm sure you would
agree that her cooking skills were incredible.
The Janice Bailey Survivors Fund will not only keep
her memory alive, but will provide financial support to Survivors who are in need of assistance. The fund will reopen for
applications on January 1, 2019. An application will be posted on this page. It was Janice's request that New Beginnings
for Women of Houston continue making a difference in the community, changing lives, one woman at a time. Your donation
to the Janice Bailey Survivors Fund will help us do just that. Take a moment and click on the button below and make
a donation to this most worthy cause.
We thank God for the time we shared with our dear Janice.
She will forever live in our hearts.
